experience. Post traumatic stress disorder
treatment develops the people who experience severe
trauma. But still this problem could not be identified why it is occurs for the
people. However, there are certain factors that would develop the PTSD.
Types of factors that can lead to
PTSD:
- Serious accidents
- Physical or sexual assault
- Abuse, including childhood or domestic abuse
- Exposure to traumatic events at work, including remote exposure
- Serious health problems, such as being admitted to intensive care
- Childbirth experiences, such as losing a baby
- War and conflict
- Torture
Who will be affected by PTSD?
When the people had depression or anxiety in the past, but if they
didn’t receive much support from family or friends in that situation, have the
possibilities to develop PTSD. Also, there are some genetic factors involved in
PTSD treatment facilities.
For example, having a parent with a mental health problem might increase
the chances of developing the condition.
Why does it develop?
Still now not clear exactly why people develop PTSD,
there are numerous of possible reasons have been suggested.
Survival mechanism
The symptoms of trauma
behandeling are the result of an
instinctive mechanism intended to help you survive further
traumatic experiences. But
while these responses might be intended to help them survive, they're
actually very unhelpful in reality because they cannot process and move on
from the traumatic experience.
High adrenaline levels
Studies show that the people who have affected by PTSD have abnormal
levels of stress hormones. Normally, the body produces high or less level of
stress hormones when in danger.
This reaction is known as the "fight or flight" reaction. The
people who affected by PTSD have been found to continue to produce high amounts
of fight or flight hormones even when there is no danger.
