Post Traumatic Stress Disorder Treatment
Posttraumatic
stress disorder (PTSD), a type of anxiety disorder can occur after a deep
threat or horror. Even if you were not directly involved, the shock of what
happened can be so big that you have a difficult time living a natural life.
People with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder
Treatment may have insomnia, flashbacks,
low self-esteem, and very plaintive or obnoxious feelings. You can continuously
overcome this phenomenon - or lose your memory altogether. When you have PTSD,
it can feel like you will never get your life back. But it can be treated. Short-
and long-term psychotherapy and medication can work very well. Often, the two
types of treatment are more impressive together.
Therapy
PTSD therapy has three main goals:
- Improve your symptoms
- Teach your skills to deal with it
- Restore your self-esteem
